How To Prepare For Your Colonic

Hydration is KEY

Drink water - HYDRATE. Drink at least half your weight in ounces. This can include herbal teas, fresh juices and filtered water.

Pay Attention To What You Eat

Consider your food choices. Try to incorporate more fruits and vegetables for 24-48 hours prior to your session. We suggest eating fresh organic and seasonal vegetables, fruits, shakes, soups and lighter proteins.

No Red Meat

And very limited, if any, cheese, pasta, coffee or energy drinks.

Avoid Gas Producing Foods

Such as beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and brussel sprouts.

Be Mindful Of Meal And Drink Timing

Avoid eating 3 hours prior to your appointment and avoid drinking liquids 1 hour prior.

After Your Session

A “healing crisis” can be a bit of a disturbing experience if you’re not prepared. So let me address this. In the day or two after a colonic, one can experience aches, pains, gas, fever, headaches, nausea, fatigue, anger, frustration, skin flare-ups, etc. This is attributed to the stirring up of toxins and is usually a transient experience. If this happens be as gentle on yourself as possible. Rest, drink plenty of water, take an epsom salt bath and allow your body to heal itself. Consider the reaction you just had as a possible indication that your body needs further cleansing. Eat softly afterwards: soups, smoothies, fish, quinoa, fruits and cooked vegetables, sweet potato (soft baked or steamed). Avoid caffeine/alcohol, raw foods.
